I think he was getting at maybe taking a shooting course.  Something I'm looking forward to doing, maybe after I get back from the desert......AGAIN.

I would buy some Pmags, cleaning supplies, two point sling and mounting hardware if needed, inexpensive plasic gun case, etc.

Oh ok, I wasn't trying to be an ass, I deer and Varmint hunt....i've been hunting and shooting all my life, just not into taking a course.

I've been a frequent, if not daily, user of the AR15/M16 family of weapons since 1979.

That sling, paired with this end plate:
