It is an SN3 3.2-17x58mm It is a plain-Jane one with base model US#1 knobs. It also has the very large adjustable objective that USO calls their ERGO objective. They don't even make that one anymore. They've replaced it with a slimline version of that same objective. I have an SN3 3.2-17x58mm coming in a few weeks! I got the slimline ERGO objective and also upgraded to the US#3 knobs which offer more clicks per revolution. |

I would consider a smaller objective. USO makes that same model in a 44mm. The smaller objective gets the scope closer to the stock and allows for a more comfortable cheek weld. Plus it puts the scope closer to the barrel so POA and POI are a better match. 3.2-17x isn't too much for a 308 depending on your needs and shooting range. The 3.2-17x is also available with a side parallax adjustment instead of the adjustable objective. It is called their T-Pal model. Some guys like the side knob better. Also consider their 1.8-10x37mm. There are a lot of 308 bolt rifles out there with this exact scope. It is also what GAP recommends on their 308 builds. They even made a BDC knob for it. I run their 1.8x10x37mm on my SPR. My new 3.7-17x58mm is going on my 18 pound 7mm RemMag. Keep your eyes open for that USO group buy! |
| BlackReef- if you are looking at an AR10T like I mentioned in your previous thread, I have a Leupold Mk IV 3.5-10x40 with a mild-dot reticle. I think it is more than rugged enough. Plenty of glass out to 800M. A little tougher past that but, not impossible. A lot cheaper than a US Optics scope. Nothing against US Optics, they are great but, with the somewhat limited range of 7.62, that seems like a whole lot of glass. Especially if you intend on lugging that rifle around anywhere. |
