| Hi guys I am looking for a 20 inch A2 rifle. I was just wondering how CMMG quality is now. Just seen some negative posts on their quality lately. |
I have a soccom barrel and I love it customer service was great to me but my buddy just bought a barreld upper from them and there was a a little problem with the order but tomorow when he contacts them for a 2nd time to someone above the customer service rep who he dealt with yesterday"I told him to give it a day and not call back as he was pretty angry" and nothing gets solved when your pissed off,then Ill see how their customer service is.Ive seen that it sometimes gets trashed around here,so for me the jury is still out,hopefully it will be handled as I recomended to him to spend his $470 with them on a barreled upper.His first contact left a little to be desired but ill give the bennefit of the doubt and see how its handled tomorow. |
Everyone gets bashed around here except fot the beloved Colt(and when they screw up its topped with wipped cream and covered up ). CMMG has outstanding quality and many options to choose from. I love my midlength from them. It runs flawlessly and the finish is excellent. Its their cust service that according to others is lacking. Overall they make excellent rifles and are worth the occasional long wait for one.

Get the Cmmg if that's what you want. I have a few Cmmg Ar's and love them. I just got an new upper from them today.

| Well tomorow will tell...yesterdays contact was a bit negative well see how my buddy fares tomorow when he calls them for a second time.Right now im just chalking it up to a customer service rep having a bad day..well see how they take care of it tomorow.I think there quality is top notch...like I said jurys still out on customer service until I see the end result wether they fix it or stick to their guns and want my buddy to pay for their mistake..well see. |
| CMMG is the only AR I buy now, and I've got a safe full of them. They are the only manuf that has the models I am looking for such as a1 profile bbls with midlength gas system, etc. AND uses the correct mil specs such as 4150 bbl steel, etc. AND they are less expensive than the other top tier manufacturers. IMO, best buy for the $. |
| I have had nothing but great products and service from CMMG. I have not ordered from them in about 4 months. It appears that they were recently having some growing pains. A little operation that gets swamped with demand and has to expand doesn't get that way from selling junk or treating customers poorly. They appear to be addressing their growth issues. |
