I am about to buy my first AR and I was looking into Del-ton or  J&T. I hear that they both sell good products, but I have heard problems with backorder or shipping. I was wondering if I should stick with Del-Ton, but I don't want to wait for backorder. Thankshoma

I don't know about J&T but I am very happy with my Del-ton mid length kit. If you call them they can give you info on a ship date. They were behind for a while but it seems that they are caught up.  Mark

I spoke with them the other day and they said that they are getting caught up for the most part. Before you order online, call them to check the status on the kit you want. The folks at Del-Ton are good people to deal with.

I've bought parts from J&T and a kit from Del-Ton and i wouldn't hesitate to deal with either company again in a heartbeat. I'd also say each has it's advantages. The lower parts kits that J&T sells seem to be of higher quality than Del-Tons in terms of pin fit etc. However when you order a Del-Ton kit the options you can add are cheaper than anywhere else. When i got my kit from them i added a Magpul CTR for $60 and an RRA NM2 trigger group for $80. The same options from other "kit" manufacturers such as J&T are significantly more expensive.

Another positive experience here with Del-ton. Good prices and no long wait for backordered stuff.

Good to hear all this positive reviews of Del Ton. I think my next build (which is close to 5 or 6 months off) is going to be through Del Ton. I just love all the options they'll let you spec out the kits with.

J&T all the way. I've bought two kits from them, great customer service and fast shipping and the prices are hard to beat. Plus they give discount to Military and Law Enforcement. Cant ask more than that.

DEL-TON:     Ordered my midlength kit two days ago. called and confirmed the availability of parts before I ordered. My order shipped out today.   Wonderful people to deal with... and wonderful southern accents =)

As far as quality>----  we'll see when it gets here eh? =)

They are the $#!+
I ordered a lower, they told me 4 to 6 weeks.
I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't care too much.
Got an email 4 days later on a friday saying
it had already shipped.
Called them back to verify on monday.
Picked it up from my FFL on tuesday.
Great company to do business with and their
lower fits tighter on all my uppers than the
OEM lowers.
I talked to the girl on the phone and she told
me that they doubled the work force added a
shift and are working saturdays to meet demand
which she said had tripled.

You will not be disappointed!!

I live about 30 miles from Elizabethtown, NC which is where Del-Ton is. I have had numerous dealings with them face to face and all I can say is so far so good. They have always dealt fairly and politely with me with any questions that I have had. I will most certainly keep dealing with them for my AR-15 BRD that seems to get worse every day.
