Pre Ban Lower ? > AR Discussions

I have a OLY pre ban Rifle that I'm thinking of parting with. I currently have 6 ar's and 1 M16 so I need to make some room for new stuff. What would be a fair asking price for the lower only. The lower has been used for about 500-750 rds. I called OLY today to confirm the pre ban status. Thanks

ppl. from ban states would pay between $400- 500 for it. (complete lower)

I sold a limited run Oly TBOR preban lower a couple of years ago for $350.

How did Oly verify preban status? When I e-mailed they said they couldn't verify anything because of a fire several years back.

We CANNOT provide you with the date the serial number was shipped, we CANNOT provide you with information determining whether a particular serial number was a factory assembled firearm, and most importantly, we CANNOT determine whether or not your particular serial number is a legal grandfathered pre-ban firearm.

Mine was a full year before the AWB and came as a complete rifle. I still have the orig bill of sale.

If you had the original bill of sale, why did you need to call and find out the preban status (which apparently can't even be done)?

Just curious.

That's what they told me I would need. My lower was clearly preban but they couldn't verify if it left as a complete rifle or not.

I just sold my Oly Arms pre-ban lower to a member in CT for $500. Bone stock except for a Houge grip and a M4 style stock.

In NY it doesn't matter if it was a complete rifle before the ban.

Believe it or not, I saw one on gunbroker a few months ago (stripped) bushy lower, went up to $600. That's about what I would pay for a complete colt lower.

I paid $650 for this Colt Pre-ban lower last year. It did have a trigger group and a 6 position collapsible stock.

I have a re-anodized by US anodizing preban PWA Commando lower with new CMT trigger group and LMT take off 6 position stock. Any idea on value?

I would say between $550- 600. I paid $600 for a complete preban PWA commando lower in great condition a few months ago, and same for a colt preban, also in great condition.
