| New guy here. Would like your opinions on Spikes lowers. Well made, or not so good. I am looking at an Ar built up with a Spikes lower and a DPMS 20" varminter SS bull barrel upper. Plan on using mainly for a varmint rifle and I'm sure some general target shooting, not competion use. Any and all opinions apprecaited. Thanks |

The lowers have a stright anodised finish vs the teflon anodisation youd get on say an Anvil lower. The "Fire" marked lowers are a little more dark greyish vs jet black and the picto lowers are more jet black as they are made by different vendors. Other than that they are the same as every other lower made by the big 4 manufactueres, just be sure you get the same finish match in type and color as your upper and you will be happy. Funtionally they are all pretty much the same. Lets say you have a Stag upper. It would be jet black and straight anodised and the picto Spikes lowers matches up best. If you had a Mega upper.. its a black teflon anodised upper and an Anvil will match that better, etc. |
