[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tac-latch

How hard is it to replace the regular CH latch with a tac-latch. I built my own AR from parts so can I easily do this project?

I don't think you'll have a problem, especially if you assembled the lower internals.

All it takes is a hammer and a punch the size of the pin in the charging handle. Even I figured out the rest

super easy. just make sure you have the right sized punch and your golden!

Very easy. Just don't lose the spring. It has a tendency to shoot out of there.

it can be a PITA if you dont have the right size punch.

...can still be done though.

i managed using a small eye glass screw driver.

i really like the Buffer Tech btw...
