Can too much play between the upper and lower cause FTFs? The last 30 rounds I put through one of my ARs were close to everyother round failing to feed. The spent rounds ejected fine, the bolt would close as if the next round was chambered, trigger was pulled, nothing, inspected the chamber, nothing there. Althought a few times the bolt would only close halfway due to the round not being chambered completely. Also the bolt didn't stay open after the last round was fired from the previous mag. There is quite A bit of play between the upper and lower so I was thinking maybe this is the cause. Tommorrow i'll try A couple rounds each in different mags to determine if it was the magazine to blame. Any insight or thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Edit: The rifle was thoroughly cleaned and lubed when this was happening. |
