Anyone know much about the various 9mm uppers out there. This is a great option for me considering most ranges I go to don't allow rifle rounds. Also there is the cost of rifle vs pistol ammo.I think a upper chambered for a pistol caliber will give me more chances to practice with the rifle and become more familiar with the manual of arms.On a side note do any of the uppers made presently take glock mags.thanks ahead guys.

Its a shame this made it to page 4 before anyone asnwered this as it is a few simple questions.

There are 2 main styles. 1st is the Colt/RRA style. 2nd is the OLY style. Both have their positive sides and negative sides...

The Oly definatly has some feeding benefits on account of its "forcing cone chamber" where the RRA/Colt is a bit more flat faced as a chamber. the forcing co ne greatly aids feeding ammunition into the chamber, its literaly a bullet guide built into the barrel that wraps 360deg around the chamber. I think the forcing cone is the greatest sucess of this style upper, the RRA uses a fixed ejector where as teh oly is spring loaded, I bieleve the RRA/Colt style has a better option as its fixed. But with all of that said, only you can decide what you would rather have as nobody seems to make one with all of the best options.

Then you have to get a magblock...

Thats a whole nuther topic....   personally I like the idea behind the VM hy-tech because it uses totally un modded UZI mags and I happen to also own an UZI. + bonus points for this style to me because the mags are now dual purpose.

As for glock mags, Yes OLYMPIC ARMS makes the rifle that you seek...

It uses the options of G17 or g19 mags, and ofcourse the G18 mags
