I tried to check around before I posted but couldn't find much on the topic.  I was wondering if having a midlength gas system limits the buttstocks that you can put on a rifle. Can I put a CAR stock or an entry stock on a 16" midlength?

If someone can give me a schpeel or point me in the riight direction it will be appreciated

As bukn77 mentioned, you shouldn't have any trouble.  The main thing to remember is that if you are swapping out carbine stocks, there are two sizes.  One size is commercial, and one is mil spec.

Here is a thread that goes over most of the popular carbine stocks, hopefully you find it of some help.
