I have a couple bushy 16" carbines that run great but with low round count so far.  Folks here seem to think that the Bushy BCG is sub-par.  Mine seem to be staked well, but I plan on hitting them hard this summer.  My thing is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" or should I go with a LMT or BCM BCG?  Thanks.

I've got several thousands of rounds thru my Bushmaster so far and no problems with my BCG even though it is supposedly "not properly staked". As mentioned above, just in case I would keep another spare BCG with you.

If running hard means CARBINE Class, then make sure to have a spare BCG.  If it means just shooting the shit outa them don't worry about it.  Shivan posted some pictures that were perfect and a synopsis explaining how to stake the carrier and what to use.  Very simple procedure.

If you have a couple of carbines it would be a good idea to buy a spare BCG. That being said I have had pretty good luck with bushy bcg's. Make sure it is staked good and buy a quality back up( LMT,BCM,Ect.)and you are good to go.

Thanks for your suggestions.  Would you go with the semi or auto BCG?

What's the big deal about them not being properly staked?  How freaking hard is it to just hit a staking tool with a hammer?  It took me all of 45 seconds.  Did I ruin my BCG doing that or something?  As long as they are tightened to the right torque, what's the problem?
