Is it worth changing out the triggerguard to use the oversize one if youre not a glove wearing type of guy? Also, Ive never built a whole lower just changed hammer, sear and some springs, I do know about breaking of the receiver ears what else should I know about removing it. What holds the front pin in and how does it come out.

If you're uncertain, and want the A2 style middle finger nub, the MIAD full kit sounds like it would make the most sense (just because of a less obstructed access to trigger).

I'm assuming it's still a springloaded detent on the MIAD - the MagPul trigger guard by itself is identical to the stock.

I have the MIAD full grip kit with the frontstrap that has the integral triggerguard. What I dont know is how to safely get out the factory triggerguard. I got no clue how to remove the setpin.

Drive the rear pin out with a punch...no biggee.

The front of the guard is retained by a self contained push pin.  Just push in on the right side and the spring loaded pin will move back and the guard will drop out of the postion its in...

I find my trigger finger rubs on the original trigger guard. There is no finger rubbing on the MagPul guard. And the round edges feel so nice too. For when your finger isn't rubbing on it.

From now on only my retro-rifles will use the original, flat style guard. Everything else will use the MagPul guard.
