[ARCHIVED THREAD] - upper lower FIT

I have a MEGA upper and a MEGA lower that fit WAY to tight at the back... the front slides right in but the back has to be almost pounded together and then is hard as hell to get apart... What can I do to fix this? or should I contact who I got the parts from and let them take care of it?

It'll loosen up in time. Put it together and run a couple hundred rounds through it and see how it fits then.

I think the problem would be once I put a buffer tube on it It will be vertualy inpossible to get the upper and lower apart at the back.. its that tight

That will make no difference to your receivers as the receiver extension doesn't contact the upper receiver.

i know that but reach in through the back and pushing up from the inside of the upper is about the only way possible to dislodge the two

If its tight, all you have to do is push out the front pivot pin and it will slide forward off the lower. :D Give it a try.

It will work fine once you get it all together, you will have the leverage of the buttstock and the barrel to break it apart. My M4 is that tight and it works fine.

You do not have a problem at all there. I'd be happy with it and shoot a couple hundred rounds as already mentioned. You be satisfied.

ETA: When my RRA was new, it took A LOT of force to get the upper and lower together. Few hundred rounds later, it fit like a glove. Thousands of rounds later, it still does

Personally, i'd rather it be tight than loose.
