Most of my pmags will not drop free from my 6920. The pmags are not the recalled ones either. Anybody else have this problem.

I have 2 6920's and various manafactured date Pmags.  I haven't had any issues with mine.

What is the date on the mags?  Magpul tests all the mags with a tight magazine well before they ship.  Call 1.877.4MAGPUL and ask for Eric - he'll either swap out your magazines until the problem is solved, or diagnose the problem as something else.

Try pushing the mag release button!

On a serious note, my pmags drop free from my 6920.  I would just contact Magpul, I am sure they will make it right.

what are the dates for the recalled pmags? I bought 5 of the plain 30rd mags, haven't shot with them yet but they don't cycle the rounds well in either my 6920 or BM patrolemans when jacking the charging handle and no I'm not riding the handle when I release it. Ammo is TAP 75gr 5.56 T2.

I had some PMAG's that didn't drop free from a really tight LMT, which is a top tier rifle.   Mags that are 11/7 or newer are produced under new conditions which allows for a more stable product out of the molds.   All mags that are 11/7 drop free from this lower.   If yours are from before this, call MAGPUL and tell them your problem.  They wiel likely help you out.

I have 20 windowed pmags and three 6920s and 2 LMT Defenders, and 4 fit tightly, and 1 (6920) works fine. Through my crude measuring device (tape) it would seem that the magwells with a width of .9 work fine, and the ones with a .89 inch hang up.

Of course, just a few swipes with my wife's nail file cured the issue completely. The area that needs attention is on the backside (convex) just near the last part that enters the magwell before being fully seated. You'll see two small spacing tabs. (My term since I don't know what they're called.) File those down ever so slightly, and you're good to go.

Also, just using them for a while seems to cure it too.  YMMV

I had this same problem. I loosened the mag catch a couple turns and they drop like a bomb now. Try that if you haven't already. My old pmags drop free no problem, I only had problems with the new one. How crazy is that.

They drop free in my 6920.  +1 on turning the mag release back a few turns.  I made mine to tight on a few builds also.  Easy fix.

None of my four Pmags will drop free from my 6920. There are supposed to be the latest version but I haven't checked the date.
