Hey all. I'm new here and do not own an AR....yet. I've been looking around at all the different mfg's and really don't know which is a good quality firearm which is why I'm here asking you guys. I know I want to be able to use optics and this will be mostly for target shooting and just all around plinking. I have always wanted one so I decided to start saving some cash. I don't want some peice of crap but I also don't want to get divorced either. lol  So, I'm open for suggestions. Glad to be here too btw. Looks like a very nice site with a vast amount of info.

Bushmaster is an excellent place to start......IMO

Most major manufactures do have a great product though, so cruise the site a bit and welcome to the sickness!

Get a flattop from Colt, LMT, DPMS, Armalite, Del-Ton, Bushmaster, Stag, RRA, Remington, Sabre Defense, Smith & Wesson, CMMG or Colt and you're good to go.
