| I bought a stripped lower today with plans to build a trunk/truck gun. I am really leaning towards a fixed carry handle and sticking with the iron sights. I also thought about getting a flat top and a LMT BUIS in case I ever decided to add an optic. Thoughts? |

A1 upper w case deflector and FA with the A2 aperture A1 Front sight post A2, A1, or sully stock 16" dissy style barrel that would be an ideal trunk gun. A1 upper because there is a lot less of a chance of the sights getting knocked out of whack as compared to an A2. A2 rear sight aperture and the A1 style FSP are a great combo. Fixed stock for this application is probably the best, A2 stocks are pretty easily found, A1's fit better, sully if you like it even shorter. A 16" dissy style barrel would be great, you have a shorter OAL than a rifle yet the rifle length sight radius, a win win combo. She certainly wouldn't win any beauty contests....but she'd be a work horse. |
