I am going to buy my first AR in the next week or so.  I've got up to $1550 to spend.  It will be a "show" rifle, to look good in my collection.  However, I still want the best one for my money.  Colt seems to be a favorite, but do I need, or should I buy, a gas piston rifle?  If I do, it obviously reduces my choices and pushes the budget to the very top.

The rifles I've looked at so far, within my range, are, in no order: Noveske; LWRC; Colt and Bushmaster.

Thanks for the help,

A show rifle... I called West Coast Customs and asked Xzibit to pimp your AR but he said no... Sorry no spinners or TV’s on your AR.

Thanks for the help!

I asked a legitimate question.  If I didn't post what I was going to use it for, someone would ask.  I don't need extreme accuracy, nor do I need something that would work in a harsh environment, because it will not be exposed to such conditions.

By 'show" it should look good,  which is subjective, and hold its value.

Ok.  Thanks for the clarification.  I'll consider some spinners on 22" rims, a few plasma tvs, a nav system, extra bling bling and a hot paint job.  It could be a mobile AR 15 gun platform.

Peace.
