In looking around a bit, I've become curious about the markings one would expect to find on a Colt A2 upper receiver.

Here is a shot of the upper from a 6520 bought NIB:

And here's a shot of what I purchased as a new 6520 take off upper:

That one has what I believe is the Anchor Harvey forge mark, but no C.

Following are some shots of Colt uppers without C markings:
0713206
0713406
0713506

And some with C markings:
0712304
0709302

A quick perusal of NIB 6520s offered on Gunbroker where there's an appropriate photo shows the C mark on all.

So, does Colt produce completed A2 uppers without the C mark?

The upper picture shows Cerro Forge  markings.  The C and the keyhole.    I THINK that the C on that one might mean that it was made for Colt, by Cerro.  I could also be quite wrong on that detail.

Flattop uppers with the keyhole mark are also Cerro Forge. I have one.

I've seen some Colt A2 uppers without the C markings.

Fidelis Firearms have one just like yours without the C and only the Anchor Harvey forge markings and also they have a Colt M16A2 upper without markings.

All of the above pictures of A2s w/o the C mark are from Fidelis.
