Stopped by a Local shop today and found a new Olympic arms AR-15 with A1 sights A2 stock regular CAR handguards and a 16" HB (A2 birdcage). Price was $599 I don't have any expirence with Olympic. So what do you think about the price? |
| I have never had a problem with an OLY. They are a good entry level gun. From what I have been able to figure out a lot of the OLY problems come from sloppily assembles kits. The factory finish is not as pretty as some rifles but all the OLYs I have shot were reliable and accurate. |
What's the word on this evil-black-rifles.com, anyone heard of them or done business with them. carbinero is pimping them all over this site. |
| O.K. here's the deal. I've seen no vendors for CMMG who cut a deal below MSRP, and I finally decide to buy a new upper instead of doing the bargain bin. So I'm about to hit the button on CMMG's site, and I see this forum on calguns about NIB CMMG uppers for $469 instead of $525. What's up with that? So I check out his site, send an email, and give Pete a call. He called me back that day, has replied to every email question I've had, and sounds like a straight up guy. He even orders FA BCGs as his SOP to replace the SA! He's a new dealer, so I couldn't find much about him other than a few guys in AZ and CO who all had positive reports. I sent in my order one week ago, and it should be here next week. I wanted to hold back until I had it in my hands, but ya know, when you get incredibly good service, you want to share the love. In the meantime, I've still found nothing bad about him, except the name "evil." YYMV. |
