| I just finished my Varmint AR and now I'm ready for a tactical I want something light weight and something shorter than 16". I want this to be a flattop upper and have quad rails but the rails cannot be higher than the flattop itself. I would appreciate all the suggestions and opinions that I can get as I am still very green especially building a tactical. Lastly I am not a LEO or military so this is not a duty weapon..Thanks |

You need to look around on the files here and you will learn most of what you need to know. Most forearm rails mount at the same level as the flat top. From what I have seen the MI (Midwest Industries) rail is a great bargain for a rail. I have a KAC purchased off the EE for a killer price. KAC is what is mounted on my Issue M4. Learn all you can and after that it is all about how much you want to spend. BT |
