If you have a front sight tower can you still use a scope? I know you can get high rings or see thrus but won't that put the scope/muzzle relationship to far apart to keep good ballistics from 50 to 350 yards? If you have short rings the FSB will be in the way of the optics right? THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY POSTS!!!! ALL INFO HAS BEEN STORED AND APPRECIATED!!! YOU CAN NEVER KNOW TO MUCH!!!

What kind of scope are you talking about?  My FSB appears as a shadow through my 4x ACOG.  I didn't see the FSB at all through my Nightforce at 15x.

Your scope will look past your front sight, sounds kinda funny I know but the higher the power the less it will show. My ACOG shows just a small blurr at the bottom of it where a higher power scope would show nothing.

The front post is so close it is completely out of focus and not an issue with higher power scopes. you might see a slight shadow at 4 or 5 power, this shadow bothers some folks more than others. once you get to 8 power or above it is a non issue. I run a 2X7 sometimes and see a shadow if I look for it but it doesn't bother me. For my cheekweld to be where I want it I use a B-Square one piece mount that has medium/high built in rings , if you were using lower rings the post could be more in the way with the low power scopes.
For some plate matches I use an EO-Tech without any rear back up irons and to open up my sight field I pull the post itself and detent/spring right off the gun , leaving the front sight base/gas block. This could help with a scope also .
