[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffers

There are several different carbine buffers, standard, H1. H2 etc. For what applications are the different buffers most suited? Are they for different leanth gas system/barrel(midleangth vs. carbine, 14.5"vs 16" barrels) combos, or primarily for different caliber conversions?

A 16" carbine, the upper is an Armalite if manufacturer makes any differance.

You could get away with a standard carbine buffer. The H and H2 were mainly aimed at the select fire versions. That is not to say you could not install one if you wanted.
