Is there any other tool you can use to remove a Delta ring to replace handguards that is safe?

if you are just trying to install/remove handguards, you can do it by hand no tool needed... if it is very tight you may need a partner, trying doing one side at a time

if you are trying to remove the delta ring assembly from the barrel nut to install a free float rail or something, you will need a tool... you can either dremel it off with a cut wheel or you will have to remove the barrel from the upper using an action block, vice, and barrel wrench, then remove the delta ring with some snap ring pliers.

Thats what I thought but the directions for the two piece says "use a handguard removal tool to pull down delta ring" so I figured I ask first. Thanks.
