Hi.  I have a LWRC 10.5" 6.8 SPC gas piston upper.  It's mounted on a LMT lower and I'm using CProducts 25 round mags.  The rifle has less than 200 rounds through it.

The problem is that when the mag gets to the final 2 rounds, it feeds the second to the last round incorrectly (at an odd angle) leaving the bolt open and the cartridge partially in the bore and partially stuck in the ejection port.   On every mag (except one) this has happened.  The one exception was that the rifle did this same "jam" with 3 rounds in the mag instead of 2.

I plan to buy some different ammunition to try and see if it's ammo related (right now I'm using Art's SSA 115 gr. Extreme).  However, it sounds to me like a magazine issue.  I have 12 or 13 different CProducts mags (bought brand new) and tried different ones each time.  I remember reading something about bending the feed lips on these mags to make them function properly in the old 6.8 thread.....but the owner of CProducts came on the page and said that he didn't recommend that practice and didn't think it would improve feeding.

I don't think it's the upper....as the rest of the shots go off without incident and after clearing the jam and loading the jammed round back into the mag, it functions fine.   Also, my 10.5 LWRC 5.56 upper runs flawlessly on any ammo.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be my issue?  My guess is the mags, and if that's the case, will bending the feed lips slightly solve the issue?

TIA,
Sean

I should also mention I loaded some of the mags to full capacity, 25 rounds and others to only 20.  Regardless of the round count.....it was almost always on the next to the last round that I had the FTF issue.

We've had a lot of problems with CP mags...first thing I'd do is try a PRI or Barrett mag and see if the problems persist.

Thanks for the advice.  I'll give that a shot.
