After using every new, best oil ever invented I've finally decided to go Mobil 1 and stop worrying.

What about grease, I've used Tetra grease on my AR's for years and have been satisfied. I use Wilson's Ultima lube grease on my handguns. Wilson's grease has been ok.

I would like to find a synthetic grease to replace the Tetra and Wilson's, something that can be found without a special order from across the country and something that works as good an anything can. Any suggestions?

I’ve ran Tetra grease on my AR’s a few times just to try it out. I found that after some time the firing residue mixes with the grease and forms a thick paste.  Not good if you ask me. I’ll reserve the grease for the rails of my pistols.

Break-Free LP is my primary lube, with CLP reserved for light general lubing and cleaning.

LUBRICANT / PRESERVATIVE

LUBRICANT / PRESERVATIVE FOR RAPID-FIRE AUTOMATICS AND STAINLESS STEEL FIREARMS.

Lubricant/Preservative is beneficial to all shooters, but especially heavy volume shooters of rapid fire automatic handguns and rifles including Law Enforcement Officers and all target shooters.

- Originally developed for manufacturers of heavy automatic military cannon to keep their weapons working under long and sustained fire during battle.

- Secret formula contains specially polymerized synthetic oils for improved boundary film strength, plus multiple anti-wear and extreme pressure additives to reduce friction, stop build-up of foreign particles, and inhibit rust and corrosion of all metal.

- Consistent cyclic rates are maintained and gun actions operate smoother and easier even under adverse conditions and extended firing periods.

- Replaces grease and heavy viscosity lubes.

- Ideal for all firearms from semi-automatic to military/police assault weapons. Great for polymer composition automatics. Prevent galling on stainless steel and other exotic gunmetals including titanium.

- Doesn't dry out, harden, solidify or attract metal fines and other contaminants.

- Always stays in bearing area to lubricate.

- Environmentally safer and user friendly.

AS FMJ stated, TW-25B is great stuff, but get ready for sticker shock.
