I recently bought some American Eagle .223 ammo (55gr.) to run through my Mega with a CMMG bbl. I have never had a problem with a wide variety of ammo, however I had 1 misfeed yesterday and started looking at the brass. Some of the spent cases had missing primers and some were so loose after firing that the primers just fell out

Have any of you ever had this problem?

My gun headspaces perfectly. It is a 5.56 chamber.

loose primer pockets are usualy a sign of high pressure, do you have  a chrono? could be a bad batch or lot. any primer flow ? can you post pics?

If you can post the lot number of the ammo it might be useful for tracking the problem if others have a similar experience.

I was out at my Dad's farm 5 hrs away and left the brass there. I'll try to get my brother to take some pics. I did not have the chance to check velocity.

I still have some left that I'll try to shoot this weekend and get the velocity. I'll post the lot number later. (everything is still packed in the car).

primers coming out can mean a variety of things.  high pressure, low pressure, excess headspace, mis-formed primer pockets, bad batch of primers.....most people automaticly say high pressure, when more than likely it was one or more of the other things.
