How do I know what lenth my handguards are? I think there carbine but I'm not sure. Anyone know the diff in inches? Mine are 7 inch.

HG lenghts are: ~7in (CAR), 9in (Middy), and 12 in (rifle)

Are m4 handguards the same lenth as carbine? Just asking don't have.

the M4 HGs and CAR HGs are the same length (carbine length)
h/w, the M4s have a larger OD and are more oval

yes. if you can use the round end capped CARs, you can use the M4s
