Yesterday I picked up a Rock River Arms Standard A4 (20") with free float tube, weaver gas block, and stainless bead blasted 1:8 barrel (.223 Wylde).  The pic of the gun didin't come out too good, but it is really good looking.

I shot groups at 100 and 200 yards.

First was Federal American Eagle 55 grain.  It was so bad I couldn't believe it... all over the place.... a couple inches + at 100 yards ... I didn't take pics.

Then I tried Remington Green & White box 55 grain... not bad at all given the bargin basement price.

Then I tried Federal Gold Medal Match 69 grain... pretty good.

First target on left was 5 shots Gold Medal Match at 200 yards - 1 7/32"
(Disregard the "1 3/16" on this first target - I remeasured and it was 1 7/32" and I forgot to cut off the first measurement.)

Next target was 5 shots Rem Green & White at 200 yards - 1 1/2"

Next target was 10 shots Rem G&W at 100 yards - 1 1/8"

Next tartget was 10 shots Gold Medal Match at 200 yards - 1 7/8"

I wasn't shooting my best as the range was busy and I have a hard time being super precise with a bunch of strangers shooting right next to me... I am sure the gun can do better than I shot.

Excellent trigger and the receivers are super tight - have to be lightly tapped closed with a mallet right now.

And this is your first time out with this gun?  Aside from the AE, these groups are great.

Frankly I'm surprised you got a 5 shot group <1.5" at 200 yards with UMC. That's more accurate than I've seen from UMC before.

Thanks.

Yep new, just got it yesterday afternoon.

The Remington was a nice surprise.  I think I should go buy a pile of it.

If my rifles are any indication, it will get more accurate after a little bit of shooting. All three of mine got better pretty quick!

+1 On getting more accurate. Yesterday was my second time out with my new 18" Varmint. I was trying some loads with TAC and Nosler 69g and found out that 23.8g works a lot better then 23.6 or 24. My first day I used loads with H4895 and Varget which averaged about .8 to 1.0 MOA. Yesterday they averaged between .6 and .7 at 100y and yesterday was more gusty.  I am going to an Appleseed shoot this Sunday and wanted to use TAC instead of the more costly Varget. If I do my part, this should be a .5 MOA gun with ease. One 10 shot group came in at .713...I'm cool with that, the rest we 5 shot groups.
