 Most are reliable, some are not. I might have misunderstood your question, but it should already have a carbine gas system. Not sure what you mean by building it into an upper. Have you shot it yet? If you have & it's shooting ok then you shouldn't need any mods. However, I always install BCM extractor upgrade, start out with a H2 buffer on my 10.3/.5 & 11.5 SBR's & shoot new manufacture 55gr ammo. Haven't had an issue thus far. Don't know if I would've if I didn't use the mods mentioned. Is this the DPMS you were talking about in another thread? |
i have a DPMS barrel only. gotta buy the gas tube the receiver the bolt etc i dont know if the factory 11.5''s come like a normal carbine with a shorter barrel or if they modify the rifle to work with the shorter barrel, such as gas tube work, buffer, etc. i want my 11.5 build to turn out like a factory reliable rifle just dont know how to configure it right. guess ill have to shoot it and see, but ill order a buffer just in case. |
