Do you mean button rifled?  It's the most common method of rifling, probably.  A 'button' is pushed through the unrifled barrel at high pressure.  Here is a 'button':

Button rifled is the usual method the manufacturer makes the barrels for "tactical" type AR's. Broach cut is usually reserved for the match type barrels.

Pros: Button rifling "pushes" and compacts the metal in the barrel, thusly stressing and making the metal just a bit stronger then before.

cons: needs stress relief, not as precise as broach cutting because it's not "cut" rifling.

In all, it's probably better for "working" guns because of the added strength in the bore.

Honestly though, what i'd like to see, is a cold hammer forged solid rod blank that is then drilled and button cut, then nano-chromed.

But hey, everyone needs a dream, eh?

That's already pretty widely known.
The same holds true for a large majority of gun shop employees, politicians, jerky salesmen, Army SEALS, and outdoor writers.
