[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1st AR

I recently received my, 1st AR, Stag 15L 2TL and immediately cleaned the necessary area and went to the range. I found the rifle to be of high quality and workmanship. Using iron sights I did not do to badly at 100yds. All within 2~3in. Not bad for an old guy with aging eyes. I can also use the conditions, at the range, as another excuse. The sun was directly in my eyes and it was hot. I am completely satisfied with the weapon. Now I have to save more pennies, or should I say quarters, to get a good sight. I have a Bushnell Holosight but it did not mount on the rail. I want to thank all the members for their invaluable assistance in my purchase and understanding the working of an AR rifle.

Congrats, as was stated "have a lot of fun and be safe".....next purchase should be 2K rnds. of ammo.

Yes it is a lefty as I am. I am working on the 2k rds but I like to sooooooo much that I may be shooting faster than I can afford to purchase. I am also getting into Carbine competition. I always have my Mini to fall back on but I think the AR is spoiling me.
