Anybody know where I can find a source that has "mil spec" dimensions for various parts.  I'm looking for the mil spec outside diameter of the gas tube and the inside diameter of the gas key.  I have a gas key on a "mil spec" BCG that won't fit over the "mil spec" bell of the gas tube and I'm trying to figure out which one is out of spec, if any. Is it possible to have two parts within the mil spec range and not be compatible?

That sounds simply "out of spec" and doesn't have anything to do with "mil-spec".

The dimensions you're looking for are on the detail drawings for the respective parts, not on "mil-specs".  There are some detail drawings contained on cad files in the Information Section of this Board, but don't know if what you're looking for is there. To read the files you would probably need the applicable cad software on your computer.

Gas tube & Gas Key diameters are standardized. Military & Civilian are the same tubes.

I guess I'm just looking for the range of meaurements that are considered in spec, standard, acceptable, whatever you want to call it.

The tolerance?

Not the tolerance. I'm looking for the outside diameter of the gas tube bell and the inside diameter of the gas key that is considered standard/spec.
