[ARCHIVED THREAD] - which front sling mount?

I just recently installed MI 2 piece railed handguards on my 14.5" carbine and was wondering what is the best front sling mount? I'm using a specter gear CQB sling, I was looking at either going with the side mount that goes under the FSB around the barrel or a side rail mounted one? Thanks

for best accuracy, avoid hanging anything on the barrel. My vote would be for the rail mounted adapter. I personally like the Daniel Defence QD mount.

I use the Ace Ltd mount one one of my rifle and I love it. It isn't a quick release so if you have to have QR it won't be your thing. I don't use QR on the front sling attach point though. It is simple and effective and very well made.

ETA, the above post is correct, mount it to the rails, not the barrel.
