Sorry about the picture size & quality, obviously I am not much of a photographer and this is the first post that I have included photos. I hope you enjoy looking; it's all I've been able to do!

Don't show your face again until you have a full range report.

Looks like you did your research before investing in your first rifle. Very fine choice. It's good to see a high-end factory AR that looks like the accessories were chosen by people that actually use and shoot these rifles.

Shotguns have been my game for a long time so I don't really know a lot about AR15's. This one just caught my eye and my wife didn't complain much when I told her about the rifle. How could I tell if the upper/lower fit is tight?  Also,  the Sabre instruction booklet said nothing about breaking in the barrel.  How do I break in a stainless barrel with a 1 in 8 twist?

Thanks for the help!

- The fit between the upper and lower is of no concern.
- Barrel break in: Shoot it MYTH BUSTED a long time ago.
- For a longer lasting barrel shoot 10 rounds and let it cool, repeat.

Gargoyle,

Thanks for the response.  I had a nice conversation with Sabre Defence about "barrel break-in".  They essentially told me the same thing. They suggested shooting 10 rounds, clean, and let cool.  Repeat a few times.  Mostly, they just said don't worry too much about it, just shoot it and clean it.

Once break in is over put 1000 rounds through it before you clean it again and report back as to it's performance.

Fixt.

Nice gun.

I hope it serves you well.  Now go buy ammo and go shoot that puppy.
