i know i was supposed to post this in the mag forum but it literally takes days for an answer and i need to know ASAP will using sand paper to strip paint from my mag hurt it, should i use something else or is it fine?

Spray it with non-chlorinated brake cleaner from an auto parts store, then scrub the paint off.

ok great, now can u tell me because i have the magpul mags with the little window that shows how many rounds u have left,, is there a way to take them out or do i cover them up while painting the mags?

I'd put masking tape over the windows rather then muck around trying to get them out.

Tape the windows, then use an exacto knife to trim around it.
