since receiving my first ar (dpms), I have fired 400 rounds......200 with iron sights and was pleased with the results....purchased eotec which I thought was a little overpriced and actually thought of returning it before I used it..........that would have been a bad decision......after sighting in and firing 100 rounds at 50 yards and 100 rounds at 75 yards I could not believe the results!!!!! I would recommend the eotec to anyone.........it is worth the bucks.......

Glad you are having fun.

Just remember to keep giving those iron sights some love. Too many people (myself included) don't give enough training time to the irons.

Congrats on the Eotech!  They are great.  Like he said, try to still spend atleast 25% of your training time to the irons.  In the end, you'll always have irons.

I always recommend getting proficient with irons to those new to the AR or those who never served in the military and had plenty of range time with irons. Even having served in the military I find myself in need of an occasional refresher and break out the KISS carbine for some range time.

Those "dots" make things too easy, a guy can get lazy.
