| I have both C-Products aluminum and stainless mags. On the stainless one, the front of the mag where it is closest to the bullet/where the round advances out from, it is cut lower. However, both mags appear to "catch" the bullet when the round advances. This is my first AR so I'm just confused with the mags. Is it suppose to be like handgun mags where the round can be easily advanced forward without "catching" and/or scratching the bullet and casing before it is out? If anyone has some input, it would help tons. Thanks |

My Colt 20 rounders and USGI 30 and thermolds,ORLITES dont do That, Bullet shouldnt touch the mag Now my D&H curve 20 rounders do leave a copper line marks from dragging the bullets and the edge of the brass does catch on the mag if on loading by hand but the mags do run when fireing live ammo |

I would call CP they are good guys they might exchange it as far as my D&H 20 I will just use at range or sell them If I was you I would buy USGI mags I never had any problems with them My FAVORITE mag since the 80`s have been the OLD COLT 20 rounders with METAL FOLLOWERS never take them out lifting the LIPS will raise the bullet up some. JUST a Bit now |
| Do they do this while in your weapon chambering a rnd or while your just prankering with your mags by pushing a rnd out with your fingers. If they're hitting and scraping while in the gun you have a problem but if while out of the gun you have no problem, the feed ramps will lift the round clear of the front of the mag. |
