I bought a Stag upper reciever for a build i am attempting, but it doesnt have the feedramps. Most of the barrels i have looked at come with the feedramps and i was wondering if this will have any affect on the performance, and if so, is it possible to have someone put ramps in the upper to match with the barrel? Sorry for the dumb question but i tried a search but came up empty handed. (i think its time to renew my membership ) Thanks in advance!

if your barrels have rifle feedramps it will be fine, if it has m4 extended feedramps in it you might want to get the dremel out. its real simple. ive dont like 10 of them now..

I have an armalite barrel with M4 ramps in a non-ramped upper. It works fine.

Uppers with feed ramps (M4) with barrels without a no go. Barrels with M4 extensions on a Upper without Feed ramps. No problem. On a note. One of the most critical areas in your rifle is The angle of feed from the mag into the chamber. I would be real carefull about fileing or dremiling in feed ramps. Plus When I see a upper without anodized feed ramps I am not likely to bye it. Worst case sell the upper on the EE and get one with feed ramps. CMT's new can be had for less than $100.

Thanks for all the info I will likely just keep the upper as is since it wont cause any issues.
