I was cleaning/fondlin my MP15T today and I noticed some rattle in the rear sight.  It's a Troy Ind. Rear BUIS.  I hear blue locktite will cure this, but I have no idea how to properly apply it.  And where would I get some anyways?

I use guntite, I think its the exact same as blue loctite. I just apply some to the treads of the screw, and screw it in...

I got some from Brownells.  Just clean the threads, then put one drop on it and screw it in.
I used Loctite 242 for rear BUIS, grip, and EOTech.  No more issues after that.

I got my Loctite Thread Locker Blue 242 (part no. 24200) from Lowe's but they should be available from most hardware stores, if not order it from Midway, Brownells, etc.

Just clean-degrease threads with alcohol and let dry, don't touch with your bare fingers.

Apply a drop of blue Loctite to the threads of the screw and install and torque as required.

Blue Loctite sets in 20 minutes and cures fully in 24 hours per the info on the product tube container.

I used it on my Troy BUIS, Aimpoint mount, buffer tube threads, grip screw, light mount screws, etc., except don't use it if the component specifically states not to use it.
