I'm looking for a rifle with the following requirements. 20 inch barrel 5.56mm chamber Chrome lined 1/9 or 1/7 twist - doesn't matter Gov't or HBAR profile bbl - prefer gov't A2 upper or A4 Upper with proper height FSB Basically, an M16A2 or M16A4 copy though the barrel twist rate and barrel profile are negotiable. Who is the best source/sources? Factory complete, or separate upper/lower are the options. |

I might be wrong but this sounds just like the uppers that bushmaster cranked out in their tax sale. It was a 20" 1/7 chrome lined A4 govt profile. They trickle onto the EE fairly often(I just sold mine) Can be had for $500ish with removable carry handle and complete bcg. That is if I know what Im talking about which I might now. Not entirely sure on the A4 thing yet |

I like CMMG. I don't know how much you want to spend (they are a little more than RRA and Bushmaster) but they have nice looking stuff. I'm sure that others will post they like Sabre, LMT, Stag, the list goes on ... What it boils down to is how much you have to spend and what logo you want on the side of your lower. I do reccomend putting atleast the lower together your self and getting a complete upper unless you are comfortable with putting the upper together yourself. Putting the lower together is pretty simple. Saves a little money and you learn how to completely disassemble your lower if you go that route. Just read through the posts and I'm sure it will help you decide. My two cents. |
