This barrel was worth every penny! Using Cheap 62 Gr ammo I was getting 1 MOA groups at 50 yards, with irons! At 100 yards about 5" groups. Its a new rifle so im still getting used to it. Sorry no camera but its a CMT flat top upper, DPMS lower, CTR stock and Operator barrel. Anyone else got this barrel?

I thought I specified, I am a beginner rifle shooter, with my other AR I get @ 8" groups at 100 yards, and 4" groups at 50 yards. I was just trying to show the difference between this barrel and a BM barrel. I will try some heavier ammo next time.

I'm not suprised as Denny makes his Operator Barrels the same way LMT does. This is why they are so accurate.

loading 55 gr Hornady bullets in used LC cases with 19 gr of H4198 behind it. Havent tried any heavier rounds but these work great in the 1/7 twist.

Denny told me about these but I think he was out of stock at the time.

What sort of chamber throat do these barrels use? .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO, or Wylde? Or some variation all their own?

If you can shoot .5" groups at 50 yards why are you shooting groups 10X bigger at 100 yards? You do know that 1 MOA at 50 yards is 1/2 inch, right?

Yes.  I have one.

5.56
The Operator barrels are made for reliability & toughness. They are not match barrels, although they seem to be quite accurate.

ETA - I just noticed you asked about the throat. I don't know the bore & angle. Sorry.
Ask Denny.
