How difficult is it to install a free float forearm? and are they pretty solid? Thanks.

Some are easier than others, which FF tube are you looking at using.

All you need to do is cut off the Delta Ring, nothing to bad.

Depends on what FF tube you are looking at, most of them are very solid.

I was looking at the MI. so once you cut off the delta ring does it just clamp down? Thanks again.

Yep, it just clamps on.

Pretty easy install, just be careful when cutting off the delta ring. Those damn dremel tools can get away from you.

That was the next thing I was going to ask, how hard is it to cut those off, im away at college right now and my tools are limited.

It is not difficult at all, just tape up the upper reciever and barrel. Then use a Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel. Take your time and go slow for the best result.

Yes, MI and YHM both make railed forearms that will install in the same manner as standard plastic forearms. However, these models will not "free-float" the barrel.

I have heard that the MI 2pc railed forearms are very well made and priced reasonably.
