I have a preban lower and I need to take care of it, I think.
Its a semi auto, I might register it as a SBR, and its in like new condition.
Do I need such things as anti roll pins?
What else can be done to preserve the receiver for extended use.
THanks

It will likely outlive you with little or no care.

Do you live in a ban state or something?

I would not SBR it.... that will complicate things.... if you should ever want to sell it.... and your state laws might affect that plan - since you are now "manufacturing" a weapon - it might lose it's ban status.

The US Military has never seen a need for so called "Anti-Roll Pins".  So the questions remains, why do you?  CARRIERKEY

Let me clarify..

Gubment spends 4 to 5 HUNDRED dollars on an M16.

I spent 11 THOUSAND on one.

I use KNS pins to prevent any unnecessary wear.

Maybe because we cant just go get another one from the pile, and our M16 receivers cost 100 times what they pay?

There are no adverse interactions with SBR and ban rilfes.  The only way to have evil features on a SBR in my state is to have a preban rifle. If I were to sell it I could always unregister it with the NFA.

I think I may be looking into some roll pins.  Good Point on $10K vs. $600
Any thing else out there for preservation?
