[ARCHIVED THREAD] - rear sight

I am new here,and I have a question,I have searched,and found some info,but i would like to hear some peoples opions on the chopped carry handle rear sight,vs,a flip up one.I am using an eotech 552 using the stock eotech mount.I shoot paper,and manican targets,and a stray coon,or possium here,and there.Thanks guys..Stump

I run chopped carry handles on 2 carbines, a flipup on 2. Depends on indiviual preferences. The one flipup is used with an EoTech, the other is under a FACOG.
The chopped carry handles I use are with an Aimpoint and a SPOT red dot.
With the EoTech I prefer a clear view with no rear sight in the sight picture.

i use the rra dominator. the eotech is much more user friendly with a riser. i would not run flip buis with a sight that has a battery operated reticle only, but for your application its not too big an issue.
