Which would be more beneficial: A Smith Vortex flash hider, a tactical muzzle brake, or a LE Compensator? What do each of these devices do? These are all products sold by Rock River. Thanks.

Without knowing what you want to do, we can't give an honest answer.  The vortex will reduce the most flash.

I think the Phantom is the best all around muzzle device, personally.

I guess my purpose would just be general purpose shooting/having a good time at the range. Also, can you provide a link to the Phantom? Thanks.

+1 get yourself a phantom, since you don't "need" the way LEO, or military need them, so you cant go wrong.  Phantom's are affordable, and will make you think your balls are pure unobtaionum.

But seriously, they look bad ass, and work well to reducing flash, etc.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a similar question.  Everybody says the phantoms are better flash suppressors than a standard A2, but how effective is the 5C2 as a compensator?  Does it give up any flash suppression as compared to the 28A?
