Please be sure to tell us all what the stock is you are picturing. Pics are great, but to newbees, we always see something cool, but have no idea what it is. Also, if you like, rate your favorites. I am considering the LMT Sopmod. Oppinions..? |

I have been wanting a thread like this also for awhile. i dont know if it would be better suited in parts and accesories though? either way it is a great way to get ideas. I have been thinking for months on what to get for a sbr stock. Here is an Ace Stock to start it off  |

 Vltor club foot on one of my carbines, I also have a standard CAR Modstock like the picture above on my LMT M4gery  ACE M4 SOCOM stock on my 9mm RRA A4 carbine which I'll change with the Magpul CTR to make it a little lighter The LMT SOPMOD are nice and have heard of great reviews around here in the past.

I need another Lower just for the UBR... you would think it should be the other way around. Looks good. |

I look at weight as an overall matter of balance. Most AR15s tend to end up being nose heavy, so a heavier stock can often make things feel lighter by balancing out the weapon. The ribbed stock, CTR & Vltor all feel pretty much the same as far as weight when on the weapon. The LMT SOPMOD feels a little heavier, and the UBR is heavier still. Like I said, to me, weight with stocks isn't always a bad thing, but it makes a difference depending on your overall configuration. |
