| Does anyone have experience or knowledge of the .22lr upper conversion? I'm wondering what a fair price is and what kind of performance I can expect from Bushmaster's barreled .22lr upper. Their website lists it at $469. I suspect they could be found for less. |

complete and utter garbage. <carbon 22 upper> mine fired out of battery consistantly destroying mags at 25.00 a pop. Bushy was absolutely zero help in getting fixed and had zero desire to look it over after the sale. i asked several times for a call tag to ship it back for warranty repair and got the run around each time. when it didn't explode the mag it shot to point of aim. the overall construction was great other than the main problems. that price is about right. most places don't stock them so they are a bit pricey. i ended up dumping it at a considerable loss. stay away.....FAR away. i ended up buying a military m261 kit and have been MUCH happier. accuracy is on par with the bushy upper <when it shot> and was about 1/3rd the price. |

Thanks Beer slayer, that's disappointing to hear. Can you recommend any conversion or manufacturer of such. I would like to find some type of conversion that would allow me to practice cheaply while using the trigger on my Bushmaster lower. Oops, I didn't notice your recommendation of the military m261 kit, can you direct me to a source? |
