I have a couple of questions concerning the stuck (separated case) removal tools you see for sale.  


  1. Are these useful?  I have never had an issue, but if it happens I could imagine it would be difficult to clear.

  2. Do they actually work?

  3. Are they all the same?  Brownells sells a version for nearly $20.  CDNN and others sell them for $4 or $5.  Is the $4 version equally functional as the $20 version?
