Just got a Jerry Miculek brake installed on my ar. Just wondering if its the norm. for the jam nuts flat sides to be at 2 oclock and eight oclock. I mean the flat sides are not perfectly vertical or horizontal. Had it installed at gander mountain and was wondering if I should complain or take it back. Thank you for any feedback...

There is no normal position where those flats end up aligned.
It's different on every rifle and ugly on all of them.

That's why I index by machining the end of the barrel...
