When I look at complete uppers online most of the time do they come w or w/o the bolt carrier and charging handle?

I was just wondering because most pics do not show charging handle.  By the way this is my first post and I am new here so sorry if this has been covered.

AFAIK they usually come without the bolt carrier and charging handle unless otherwise stated. It's one of those things you have to be very careful about (always ask first & make sure).

If the price seems to good to be true, it most likely doesn't include the BC and CH. They increase the price significantly

There are basically 3 separate parts to an AR rifle:

1) Upper Receiver Group
2) Bolt Carrier Group
3) Lower Recevier Group

Technically a "complete upper group" would not include a BCG, unless it is specifically mentioned as included as part of a package.

Welcome to AR15.com

It depends on the company.
Typically, Stag, Rock River and Bushmaster uppers include the bolt carrier and charging handle.
Many others do NOT.

I refer to them as "barreled uppers" if they don't include the BC/CH and "complete uppers" when they do include the BC/CH.

Del-ton has pretty good prices on uppers with the BCG included although I am not sure what brand they use.
